Ryan C. Brechlin is an antiques and art appraiser working in Connecticut. For nearly a decade, Ryan held weekly “open appraisal” days at the Nest Egg Auctions gallery. Clients were able to bring items in for a free verbal and informal appraisal. Ryan’s quick research skills and auction knowledge allowed him to offer the appraisal service as an “Antiques Roadshow” style live event. He enjoys the thrill of discovering a new item and helping clients learn more about the value and history of their antiques.
Ryan is a Licensed Federal Firearms Dealer. As a partner in Connecticut Firearms Auction, he holds an FFL with a Class 3 SOT, and is licensed as a CT gun dealer. He is a buyer and seller of Antique, Vintage and Modern Guns with the proper licensing and experience to handle large and small gun collections.
Ryan is an antiques and auction communicator. He attended the Connecticut School of Broadcasting and became a Radio Producer, Traffic Reporter and Host on WCCC FM Radio in Hartford CT. Ryan’s broadcasting skills led him to appearances on two seasons of CPTV’s “Antiques Treasure Hunt” and Morning Radio Appearances with Brad Davis of WDRC, Anna and Raven on Star 99.9, and Lee Elci on 94.9 News Now.
Ryan has been an antiques dealer since his teenage years. He started his career as a picker and estate treasure hunter in Connecticut. He developed a weekly schedule of buying and selling to generate his income. Each time he bought and sold an object he was building and learning new categories. The experience of picking and trading every week taught him that success was a combination of preparation and opportunity. Ryan counts buying as one of his favorite activities in the business and still loves to search for Estate Jewelry, Guitars, and Vintage Watches when he goes to estate sales, flea markets and garage sales in Connecticut.
Ryan C. Brechlin lives in Berlin Connecticut and loves to spend time with his family and in the outdoors.
